What ends up on the front

Every keepsake here is made for one route, and how much of it you fill in is up to you.

On an ornament, the trail name and its outline sit on the front, with the year you walked it, or no year at all if you would rather not date it.

On a mug there is more room: distance and elevation gain, the dates, and a line of your own. Every one of those may be left blank, and many are.

On both, you can send your own photo instead of the watercolor artwork. Every photo order is checked by hand before it goes to print, and you will hear from me if a picture will not hold up at print size.

About this shelf

Pilgrim routes are their own kind of walking. They are walked in stages rather than in one push, they pass through towns rather than around them, and the people on them tend to end up walking together whether or not they set out to.

The Camino de Santiago is the best known of them, and several of its routes are here. The shelf is not limited to Santiago, though. Other old ways across Europe belong on it just as much, and they arrive as their designs are finished.
